Level 1 - Assessment

In this module, we explore the art of assessment and its integral role in achieving therapeutic success. You'll gain insights into Fount’s method for optimising the assessment and formulation process, allowing you to untangle the complex web of client stories, presentations, symptoms, and history.

This module addresses ‘differential-formulation’ for common client presentations that may appear similar but have distinct underlying causes. It helps therapists in discerning several underlying factors, including attachment issues, self-image problems, or trauma-related safety concerns, in order to prepare for precise and targeted interventions. Fount’s approach to assessment streamlines the process, ensuring a strong foundation for the treatment journey.

Level 2 - Intervention

In this module, we delve into Fount’s comprehensive approach to treatment planning and delivery.

Based on the Fount model, successful therapy encompasses addressing three fundamental aspects of the human psyche: thoughts, emotions, and awareness. To tackle these elements, the Fount model employs three main therapeutic tools: cognitive reappraisal, emotion or interoceptive exposure methods, and mindfulness-based techniques.

We delve into the effective utilisation of these three potent therapeutic tools to address a diverse range of client presentations, including personality disorders, attachment issues, trauma related conditions and self-image challenges. We also cover practical strategies for goal setting and session planning, allowing you to tailor your interventions to your clients' unique needs.
