Vision

Fount™ Programs, and in particular the Mind Wellbeing project, have been carefully formulated and extensively trialed to provide an effective solution for the growing concerns around global mental health issues. Below are several features of the program that highlight their effectiveness and relevance in addressing these pressing challenges:

Innovation

The Fount™ Mind Wellbeing program is developed with innovation in mind. It takes advantage of the latest in the field of transdiagnostic psychology to prevent mental disorders, assist in the treatment of already existing mental health conditions and improve overall mental wellbeing for participants. Transdiagnostic research in psychology seeks to find common underlying patterns across various mental health issues, and to offer treatment that targets multiple mental disorders simultaneously. Fount™ programs offer tools based on evidence based psychological interventions, such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, CBT, ACT and compassion based therapies. The Fount™ Mind Wellbeing Program places special focus on promoting healthy relationships and community building through training the participants to adopt healthier communication strategies.

Flexibility

Since its development in 2012, the Fount™ Mind Wellbeing Program has been pilot tested with various consumer groups, while consumer feedback and outcomes were used to enhance the evolution of the program and publications. In developing the Fount™ Mind Wellbeing Program, every attempt is made to attend to the needs of various social groups such as adults, children, adolescents, parents, corporate groups and workplaces, as well as linguistically, culturally and ability diverse people.

Scalability and Sustainable Development

A unique feature of the Fount™ Mind Wellbeing Program is that it is designed for scalability. The Mind Wellbeing book is designed to lend itself to being readily studied by communities and groups without a need for heavy training or resources. The program is designed in such a way that it does not rely on trained facilitators or trainers. Hence program delivery will not be dependent on the availability of experts in local communities. This will allow us to reach remote, or socially and economically disadvantaged populations based on a sustainable development model. Considering the epidemic scale of mental illnesses worldwide, and the ongoing dilemma of providing quality mental health treatment and prevention to areas lacking in expert services, this is a highly promising development.
